Ulf Magnusson is a licensed Swedish veterinarian, full professor in animal reproduction at the Department of Clinical sciences at SLU and Diplomate of the European College of Animal Reproduction. His areas of research and teaching are livestock reproduction, infectious animal diseases including zoonoses and antimicrobial resistance in low-income countries. He was formerly member of the Swedish Government-FAO committee and the Sida reference group for Swedish support to CGIAR and is leading the Action Network on antimicrobial resistance within the Global Agenda for Sustainable Livestock. Magnusson holds a DVM degree and a PhD in obstetrics and gynaecology from SLU.
