Muhammad Ibrahim is the ISC subject expert for the Livestock & the Environment flagship. Ibrahim is the director general of CATIE, the lead agricultural research institute for Central America. He is the founder of the livestock and environmental management program at CATIE that has played an important role in the transition from traditional systems to environmentally friendly and competitive systems. He has also developed silvopastoral methodologies, technologies and sustainable livestock systems that have contributed to the improvement of livelihoods for livestock keepers worldwide.
