Mireille Ferrari is responsible for communications for the program, promoting outreach of research and science highlights, managing social media and documenting outcome stories for key stakeholders.

Prior to ILRI, she worked as a communications specialist with the World Food Programme Somalia Country Office, the Centre for International Forestry Research (CIFOR) in Indonesia and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in the Philippines. She was Communications Director at Sayara Strategies in Afghanistan, where she led public information campaigns for USAID, UN agencies, NGOs and government ministries, and is a co-founder and brand creator of the crowdfunding platform, Women’s WorldWide Web. Ferrari completed her bachelor’s degree at the University of Durham in the UK and went on to study multimedia at the Rhode Island School of Design in the U.S.
