Helen Altshul is an international development and humanitarian expert with over 20 years’ experience, predominantly in Africa. She has been based at the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) since 2015, initially as development partnerships specialist for the Biosciences Eastern and Central Africa (BecA)-ILRI Hub and now as performance and partnerships manager for the global CGIAR research programme on livestock. Prior to ILRI, Altshul worked for 18 years in various leadership and senior management positions in Kenya for international non-governmental organizations Adeso, Farm Africa and Christian Aid. Altshul is particularly interested in issues relating to cross-organization partnerships and agricultural entrepreneurship.
